Family Swim is a club for the whole family to enjoy! Based at St John’s School, Kempston, in their hydrotherapy pool, it allows disabled young people to swim with parents, carers and siblings in a relaxed environment with a handful of BDCPS staff. The staff are available to assist you if you would like some extra support or help. There is a fully qualified lifeguard available too. It really is a lovely opportunity to spend some quality family time together and meet with other families.
The hydrotherapy pool is a highly specialised swimming pool with fully adapted changing rooms, hoists, toys and a jacuzzi! Family Swim is held on the fourth Sunday of every month in term time and there are 2 one hour sessions which you can book on to.
The timings are 10-11am or 11-12pm with refreshments available afterwards until 12:45pm. Booking for Family Swim is essential – when you receive your booking form, please return your requests as soon as you can.
