Volunteering at BDCPS is great fun and extremely rewarding! It looks great on your CV and it gives you a unique opportunity to make a difference to the lives of disabled young people in the community. It is often said that the volunteers have just as much fun at playscheme as the young people themselves! We even have an annual awards ceremony as a way of saying 'thank you' to our incredible volunteers.

If you can spare some time for our youth clubs (Saturday mornings or Thursday evenings) and in the school holidays, we'd love to hear from you. You can give as little or as much time as you are able to and you can plan these dates around your existing commitments such as work, school or college.

BDCPS are committed to safeguarding and all volunteers will undergo an enhanced DBS check. You can volunteer from 14 years old. Please download the application form and role description here:

We are constantly trying to raise much needed funds so we can continue to keep providing amazing activities for our young people.

As a small local charity, we rely heavily on fundraising events. We host many events throughout the year including pub quizzes, a biannual formal ball, an annual football tournament, pamper evenings etc.

If your school, work or organisation are interested in hosting a fundraiser on our behalf we would be extremely grateful! All donations are acknowledged with a formal letter, a thank you card and a mention on our Facebook page and website!

It's a real struggle to find funding out there at the moment so if there is anything you can do to help, please get in touch!

If you are from an organisation which can help to deliver services to our young people we would love to hear from you!

We have many successful partnerships including University of Bedfordshire, Kempston Outdoor Centre,  Caldecotte Xperience, Ivel Valley, Ridgeway School, Full House Theatre Company, The Chellington Centre, Bedfordshire FA, Kempston Youth Centre, St John's School, Viking Self Storage, Centre for Voluntary Services, to name but a few.

We are always looking for new and creative activties for our young people to participate in so if you or anyone you know can help then get in touch! These can range from arts and crafts to media, from theatre and sports to outdoor adventures and DofE. We help to adapt your activities to suit the young peoples' needs and have access to adaptive equipment to suit most activities!
